There were panic among students regarding the semester exams of Anna University being held on November 3rd for the heavy rains which had been a serious cause in Chennai. Now they officially declared an announcement the exams which is held of 3rd Nov is postponed & New reschedule date will be announced later.

Also holiday is declared for all colleges in Chennai,Tiruvallur & Kanchipuram districts due to Chennai Rains.

BREAKING : Change of plans for Diwali Release | Mersal | Adirindhi | Telugu

All set for the biggest Diwali Release "Mersal" after crossing so many hurdles & issues this 18th October. Meanwhile "Adirindhi" which was planned to release simultaneously with Tamil release is now scheduled on October 19th. Reservations across TN & Chennai are yet to start after the confirmation on Censor Certificate from the production house "THENANDAL FILMS".

Shocking news coming in from the Censor Board, #CBFC makes it clear that #Mersal has not been issued the censor certificate! On Monday a clearer picture would emerge, says a reliable source. Earlier the film was said to be given U/A certificate. Last minute hurdles are usual for a Vijay film but this is really SHOCKING as everything planned for a Diwali Release is now at stake. The much awaited Diwali Buzz "MERSAL" film 's advance bookings have begun in TicketNew App at Bengaluru & Kerala states. Due to overwhelming hype the tickets are filling fast & is almost houseful. Reservations at Tamilnadu & Chennai are yet to begin due to theatre strike. The issues are getting solved & hopefully the bookings might open by midnight today...

The worst of situations being speculated for theatre owners & film producers council from past week due to ticket price hike at Multiplexes in Chennai. The film producers council had held a meeting with TN Ministers & they have given an appointment for meeting CM tomorrow. The most affected are "Thenandal Films" production company for Diwali Biggie "MERSAL" which is slated to release on October 18th.

There are positive signs for clearing the issues as confirmed by Tiruppur Subramaniam. And tomorrow 's meeting with CM is a crucial stage for all the new tamil releases!

The Grand Diwali Release of MERSAL was under a scanner untill today, and finally the day arrived where all the issues are cleared. The person behind all the obstacles on the film 's title was none other than Producer's Council Head "Actor Vishal". The Actor is said to be involved in the major role was filing cases 109 & 98 for the title.

Everything is now cleared & put to an end sorting out all the issues. Also the big update is Mersal is censored with U/A & is all set to release on 12th October.
